Updates from the Clark County Opioid Taskforce

Southwest Washington Accountable Community of Health convenes and facilitates the Clark County Opioid Taskforce (CCOT). This taskforce is a cross-sector coalition that is united by the common goal of addressing the opioid epidemic through policy, systems and environmental change.

Recent CCOT meeting topics have included:

  • A panel on regional housing resources for individuals struggling with Substance Use Disorder (SUD)

  • Discussion of 2SSB 5195, a new Washington State law requiring emergency departments and behavioral health agencies to distribute opioid overdose reversal medication to patients at high-risk of opioid overdose

  • A virtual Overdose Prevention, Recognition, and Response training with Clark County Public Health

If you are interested in learning more about the CCOT, please contact Collaborative Impact Project Manager Ami Hanna.
