Honoring Lives Lost: SWACH Hosts Transgender Day of Remembrance

On November 20, SWACH, in collaboration with Odyssey World, hosted a Transgender Day of Remembrance event at the SWACH offices. This important gathering honored the lives of transgender individuals lost to violence and hate, creating a space for reflection, remembrance, and support.

The event brought together community members to reflect on the importance of standing against violence and advocating for equality and inclusivity. Through stories, sharing music with one another, and meaningful discussions, attendees came together to support one another and reaffirm the commitment to a safer, more compassionate world.

SWACH is proud to have partnered with Odyssey World to recognize this day and looks forward to continuing efforts to foster equity and inclusion in our communities.

Below is a series of photos captured by SWACH’s own Janet Sanchez.
