January CBW Kudos
Each month, we recognize the remarkable work being done by our local community-based workforce. These submissions come from fellow CBWs, supervisors, and other individuals who have worked closely with our network. Read our January kudos below.
Taurie Hackemer - Taurie Hackemer is our newest team member to The Next Door, Inc.'s Native Supports team. Tauire has hit the ground running in just a short month and a half of working with our program. Taurie has successful participated in over eight community outreach events which include; a Cold Weather Supports flyer for community members to access warming shelters and/or warming support bundles, community meals, and Energy Assistance. Making herself available to support Native American community members to access services and helping with signing them up for resources. While completing HC Activation training.
Taurie has been a wonderful addition to our team and an amazing Washington Native American HealthConnect Pathways CBW. I look forward to Taurie intaking new clients to serve in Klickitat & Skamania area!
Pedro - Vote Pedro! He's always showing up as a leader for his community and navigating resources that are complex with grace. He motivates his participants to keep striving forward. One of the families he has gotten connected with is living with no income and through providing translation, transportation, and tenacity he's been able to help them stay housed, fed and even gotten them medical care long denied.
They regularly are unable to access services because of a language barrier, but Pedro has been keeping things moving forward for the past three months. He's amazing with all of his participants!
Jennifer Lang - I want to submit a Kudos to my supervisor Jennifer Lang. Jennifer is an amazing leader and supervisor. She demonstrates this by meeting her CHWs where they are at and supporting us in any way possible. She is not afraid to ask questions and seek guidance when things go awry.
Mary Solorio - Mary Solorio has been so inclusive and uplifting on my new journey as a CHW! It is easy to see her hard work, kindness and compassion, and I know others feel it too. Thanks Mary for the encouragement and support! You are a downright fantastic lady!
