Latest News on MTP 2.0

For over six years, the Medicaid Transformation Project (MTP) has allowed SWACH to create and develop many of our projects and programs to support Southwest Washington. On June 30, 2023, our first waiver for MTP came to an end, and the Health Care Authority (HCA) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) agreed to a five-year renewal of the MTP waiver, now known as MTP 2.0.

This new waiver will empower SWACH to continue to enact meaningful change across Clark, Klickitat and Skamania Counties. MTP 2.0 provides direction for topics like: addressing health-related social needs (HRSN), behavioral health supports, sustaining community hubs, and more.

This illustration includes a breakdown of what MTP 2.0 will include (and is provided by the HCA).

SWACH is excited to see the positive impact this waiver will have statewide. We will provide regular updates and information as the new waiver evolves. To learn more about MTP 2.0, visit the HCA website.
