Scott & Sanford: Opioid crisis requires collective impact – The Columbian
Jared Sanford of Lifeline Connections and Eric McNair Scott of SWACH teamed up to pen an op-ed on Southwest Washington’s collective action approach to addressing the opioid crisis.
They describe the need for participation from a wide range of stakeholders, beyond the traditional health, addiction treatment and social service sectors. They argue that it requires organizations that wouldn’t normally interact to align around a common agenda: employers, schools, a variety of community organizations and other types of entities that interact with individuals impacted by the crisis.
