New Faces at SWACH!
SWACH is pleased to announce three new hires this month in the areas of community engagement, finance and communications.
Jamie Smeland is our new community engagement coordinator! Jamie brings more than a decade of experience working in community health. Her recent experience includes two years working in education policy, coalition building and grassroots leadership development with OneAmerica, a statewide immigrant advocacy organization. Jamie completed her Master of Public Health at the University of Washington. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Arabic. Her first day was August 27. Contact Jamie
Susan Crandall recently joined our team as Finance Director. Susan is a senior finance professional with a passion for working with nonprofits and organizations that improve community health. Past experience includes working with Verde, Clackamas County Children’s Commission, The Dougy Center and Oregon Career Health Center. Susan resides in Camas, Washington and enjoys spending time with her two children and beloved rescue dog. Contact Susan
Jack Coleman joins SWACH as communications director. Jack is a communications strategist, copywriter, PR pro and content producer with deep roots in healthcare. Most recently, he served as communications director for FamilyCare Health, one of Oregon’s Coordinated Care Organizations. He also spent eight years as a strategic communications consultant for a wide range of insurance and healthcare clients including Tuality, Huron and HealthInsight (Acumentra Health). Contact Jack
