As part of SWACH’s effort to expand access to Medicaid assisted treatment for patients in hospitals or in emergency departments, SWACH is working with PeaceHealth to coordinate two MAT trainings on March 20 and 23. PeaceHealth emergency department physicians and hospitalists will have priority for these trainings. They will be opened up to the broader community as capacity permits.

RSVP for the March 23 training here.
The trainings are part of a regional effort to address the opioid crisis by certifying prescribers to prescribe buprenorphine, an evidence-based medication therapy for opioid use disorder.
The course allows physicians to become waivered to prescribe Buprenorphine for opioid use disorder. After the four-hour live training, participants will receive a link for the online portion to complete and receive credit for the full course.
The events are presented by Southwest Accountable Community of Health (SWACH) in partnership with local opioid response champions and the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP), the data sponsor for this program. Your trainer is Dr. Melinda Landchild.
