Trauma-Informed Approach Training
21810 NE 37th Ave
Ridgefield, WA 98642
No Cost Trauma-Informed Training Series Coming to SW Washington
Opportunity for healthcare, behavioral health and community serving organizations
The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA)/Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) are offering a free training opportunity on the Trauma-Informed Approach (TIA). Eligible participants include those with a direct connection to individuals interested or receiving behavioral health services, their supervisors, agency leadership and the broader community.
At SWACH, we believe that a trauma-informed approach is an essential component in Southwest Washington’s work to improve community health. A trauma-informed approach recognizes the pervasive nature of trauma. It promotes environments of healing and recovery, rather than practices and services that may inadvertently re-traumatize. This no-cost training is a great opportunity for providers seeking to become more trauma-informed.
